[Scheme-reports] Fwd: Ratification vote for R7RS-small

Rather than trying to figure out exactly what's wrong (perhaps you aren't
subscribed, or are subscribed under a different email address than you are
sending from), I am just forwarding your message directly to the mailing
list. Rest assured that it will be treated as a legitimate ballot.

Subject: Fwd: Ratification vote for R7RS-small

Dear Mr. Cowan,

I sent the below message to the mailing list, and it didn't bounce,
but it didn't show up in the digest either. I checked the archives
(http://lists.scheme-reports.org/pipermail/scheme-reports/2013-April/date.html),
but it isn't there either.

I did vote on R6RS, and my statement of interest is here:
http://www.r6rs.org/ratification/electorate.html#X64

Should I just wait, revote, complain?
Thanks!
Biep.

Onderwerp : Ratification vote for R7RS-small
============ Doorgestuurde e-mail ============

Full name: Jude Arnout "Biep" Durieux
Vote: Abstain
Rationale:
R6RS did not describe Scheme as I understand that language. Getting
back from there is imperative, and R7RS is a move in that direction,
and thus to be applauded and encouraged.

On the other hand, R7RS is not the language that removes restrictions
in order not to need feature piled upon feature, and not the language I
want Scheme to be. Maybe R8RS will be the language that defiantly does
the right thing, but I am afraid more accretion will happen between now
and then.

Anyway, trying to avoid the poor fate of Buridon's ass, I vote Abstain.

I do gratefully acknowledge the hard work that went into the R7RS-small
standard proposal, though.
